Based in Napier, New Zealand, Helipix Ltd is one of the few CAA Accredited UAV Operators in New Zealand, and are also members of the Aviation Industry Association of NZ. Helipix utilises the latest high resolution digital cameras, mounted on a specially developed gyro-stabilised camera rig; controlled at ground level using the lastest in spread Spektrum technology. Our telemetry down-link (used for 'real-time' viewing) ensures that the correct shot is captured with the minimum of fuss.
Our helicopter is powered by a reliable single-cylinder petrol engine, giving us an excellent power to weight ratio, and a lower carbon footprint than our full size competitors. The helicopter could even be operated inside a structure or building. Maintained to strict standards, full services are carried out on our helicopter before and after each assignment.

 Ryan Cadwallader
Ryan is an experienced full-sized aircraft and remote control pilot. As well as holding a pilot's license, he has over 22 years of aero-modeling experience with a wide variety of fixed wing, conventional helicopter and multi-rotor models. He also develops all of our camera rigs, and also flies "first person view" which he has adapted to suit our needs. He is also available as a test pilot should you have your own radio controlled aircraft and require the services of a pilot..
 Andrea Schwass
While Ryan flies the helicopter, Andrea takes all the photographs utilising a specially designed radio controlled camera rig. Andrea has over 10 years of photography and photo editing experience to ensure that our customers get the best quality images possible.
