Digital Camera's:

• An 8mp Digital Camera capable of shooting RAW digital images, which allows for greater flexibility in producing high quality photographs.
• A 10mp Digital Camera capable of shooting RAW digital images, and able to shoot in wide angle.
  

Helicopter:

• Radio controlled Eagle Helicopter.  Powered by a 24cc petrol run engine (low carbon footprint when compared to a full size helicopter). 2m Rotor Span ensures maximum control for smooth, steady flight.
• The helicopter carries an under-slung camera rig which is controlled from the ground via a telemetry downlink.  Images are displayed on an LCD screen to ensure that the best shots are taken first time, every time.

Radio Controlled helicopters are dangerous items and should not be considered as 'toys'.  As such we take all necessary precautions to ensure that our operation is as safe as possible.

At the end of each shoot, the helicopter and associated equipment are checked to ensure that there are no loose mechanical parts or anything likely to cause damage or injury.  The helicopter is also routinely checked and maintained.  Batteries are maintained to strict standards to ensure optimum performance.

On site we make sure that there is a clearly defined 'landing zone' to ensure that there is a reduced risk of personal injury.  Frequencies are tested for possible interference and to ensure a smooth flight.

To further reduce risk of injury to the public, we do not fly over large gatherings of people such as public events.  There are no exceptions to this rule.

Please note that we do reserve the right not to fly should we deem it unsafe to do so.

We are approved by the NZMAA (New Zealand Model Aeronautical Association) and CAA (Civil Aviation Authority).

All images are considered copyright to Helipix Ltd unless discussed prior to shooting.  We reserve the right to use any and all images for the purposes of promotion or advertising.

Exceptions can be made for material which is commercially or personally sensitive in nature, however this must be communicated to us prior to shooting.

Due to height restrictions whilst flying, and dependant on the size of the area being photographed, sometimes it will be necessary for us to shoot from full-sized aircraft.  This will be discussed with you prior to shooting.

Mother Nature dictates our work schedule.  If it is unsafe or results will be sub-standard due to weather, we reserve the right not to fly.  We will make every effort to meet your needs, however, sometimes nature wins out.

We are fully insured with both Public Liability and Statutory Liability insurance provided by NZI.
